Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that, you can make anything happen.
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Mindful Wellness Counseling exists because I believe in empowering others to take control of their lives so that they may have the life they deserve.
While many therapists focus on past problems and traumas, I focus on helping clients resolve current problems quickly. I want you to feel better as quickly as possible and I feel this is best accomplished by focusing on TODAY. My style of therapy is proactive, imaginative, and solution focused.
In my journey, I have been drawn to working with women and those who struggle with anger, anxiety, and addictions. The other side of the equation is that I have struggled with my own anxieties and work addictions. It wasn’t until I started to have chest pains and stress rashes, due to stress and anxiety, that I seriously started to prioritize the issue of stress. I believe that chronic stress and anxiety are health issues that need to be taken seriously.
I have been in the field of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency since 2007. This experience has made me an expert in helping those who struggle with poor coping strategies, unhealthy boundaries, and poor self-esteem. I love working with those are deeply wanting to change their lives and are willing to work from the inside out to achieve their dreams and visions.
My therapy model focuses on taking action! I engage humor, genuine regard, empathy, mindfulness, solution-focused and Dialectical Behavior Therapy informed techniques to achieve the individual therapy goals.
The amazing thing about therapy is that it reminds us that we are not alone. We are not crazy. We need support, empathy, understanding, and an outlet to process this crazy thing called “life”.

“ I believe that all people have the resources within them and they need help to uncover their potential . I help bring attention to these strengths and inner wisdoms that have been buried under doubt, fear, and anger.”
